Jacoby Jones’ Ebroa

New Orleans-born Jacoby Jones was a high school football star who went on to become a three-time All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player at Lane College. Drafted by the Houston Texans, the wide receiver played with the team from 2009 to 2012 before being released and moving to the Baltimore Ravens.

In Baltimore, Jones saw his star rise. He was an All-Pro and Pro-Bowl player his first year with the team. Early on, he tied an NFL record with a 108-yard kickoff return against the Dallas Cowboys. A few weeks later, in a game against the Oakland Raiders, he returned a kick for 105 yards, setting a new milestone. Then, in the Super Bowl that same season, Jones set a Super Bowl record when he made another 108-yard kickoff return, helping lead the Ravens to a 34-31 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Jacoby left Baltimore after the 2014 season, spending time with the San Diego Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers before rejoining the NFL’s Charm City team for a single day in 2017 so he could retire from the league as a Ravens player. After Jacoby’s exit, he served as a coach in college football, first for his alma mater, Lane College, then for Calvert Hall College, Morgan State, and Alabama State University.
