Today, we mark International Women’s Day. A global celebration of the amazing achievements of women in all areas of life – social, economic, cultural, and political. It’s a day of action, reminding us that we still have work to do to achieve full equality for women worldwide.

International Women's Day 2024

In our Homeward Bound community, we recognise and honor the women for their invaluable contributions. This day is a celebration of the resilience, strength, and power of women. Yet, as we commemorate this day, we cannot ignore the absence of women from leadership positions.

There’s still a long way to go when it comes to gender equality, especially in leadership roles. However, by celebrating emergent leadership – that pioneering, compassionate, and transformative leadership that women personify – we can keep moving forward.

“When women help women, we’re a powerful force.”
