A couple of weeks ago I hosted a webinar for a group of schools that I’ve been working with this summer. A part of that webinar included making online activities for students. I included some of the typical things like Kahoot and Wizer but I also included a demonstration on how to use Google Drawings to make online labeling activities.

In this video I demonstrate how to use Google Drawings to create a labeling activity and then distribute it to students through Google Classroom. In the video I used the example of creating an activity in which students drag state names onto a blank map of New England. A variation on that activity would be to have students using the arrow tools in Google Drawings to draw connections between the labels and the states.

While the demo video that I included above features Google Drawings, the same process can be used in Google Slides. In fact, there could be an advantage to using Google Slides if you want to create and distribute a series of activities in one package. And on a similar note, the following video shows you how to make online bookshelves with Google Slides.
